Our Companions was contacted by an animal control municipal shelter for assistance the day after a young domestic rabbit was surrendered by her previous owner. Often, municipal shelters are not equipped to house rabbits and it can be a very stressful environment for our gentle prey companions! This female bunny was adopted as a baby from a pet store and surrendered after being in the home for 3-4 months. Luckily, we had room for the little bunny right away and she did not have to spend much time at the municipal shelter.
Estimated to be 6-months-old now, we named the cutie Eleanor and often call her “Elle”! So far she has been settling in nicely, she is bouncy and friendly to meeting new people, and has enjoyed all her free roam time! She still needs to be spayed and vetted. We can’t wait to learn more about this sweet girl and find her a real match for adoption!
