Save the Home Program

Unwanted or seemingly unpredictable behaviors can have a severe impact on the relationship between an owner and their dog. Whether it be too much energy, lack of boundaries, house soiling, fear, or aggression, we understand that often times it feels as though you have nowhere else to turn. Stress can easily sky-rocket between the cost of services, management, time, and, in some cases, a fear of safety or quality of life.

Our Companions has designed our Save the Home Program to provide owners with affordable and comprehensive training and behavior consulting for dogs with severe behavioral concerns.

If you are experiencing issues in the home and would like to learn more about our Save the Home Program, please contact our Behavior Helpline.

What to Expect

  • The Save the Home Program begins with a behavioral evaluation and consult. Here, we will discuss your dog's behavioral and medical history and evaluate their behavior in a neutral environment. Together, we will outline your needs, set expectations, and design a behavior modification plan if applicable.
  • After the initial evaluation, we will schedule two, follow-up private sessions in order to monitor progress and practice assigned training exercises. These sessions may occur at the program center or at another agreed-upon location relevant to the training plan.
  • In some cases, we may require a client first meet with a veterinarian should there be any suspicion that the behavior is related to an underlying medical concern.

The cost of this program is $150 including the initial behavior consultation/evaluation, two private lessons, and email follow-up support.  Additional sessions can be scheduled as needed. If you are unsure of your eligibility for this program. Please contact us at 860-242-9999 or [email protected].
