Train-the-Trainer Program
The Our Companions Train-the-Trainer Program is an educational and hands-on program aimed to give you the necessary skills to become a professional dog trainer in both private and non-profit settings. Due to the nature of our Sanctuary, this program covers a multitude of topics including learning theory, animal welfare, common behavioral concerns, and designing training plans for both home and rescue/shelter environments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with dogs and pet guardians in group class settings, private training, and various shelters.
Learn from certified, professional dog trainers and behavior consultants with a combined 50+ years of experience and a variety of unique backgrounds, certifications, and more.

Work towards the 300+ hands-on hours needed to apply for your Certified Professional Dog Trainer license.
