Cookie

A family reached out to us about two female ferrets in need of a new home. Collectively, the family was unable to continue to care for the girls and since they were from a pet supply store, there was no “rescue” for them to go back to. Luckily, we had lots of room in our ferret area and welcomed Cookie and Snow at the end of October.

Cookie came to us at about 2 years old and is a classic sable ferret coloring. She was purchased after Snow’s ferret friend passed away a few years ago. Cookie and Snow seem to love to be around one another and could even play with the cats at their last home! At the Sanctuary, both girls have been social, but Cookie is definitely the social butterfly! Before their adoption, she loved romping around with roommates Blanco and Rocky. Now, she will have to be the welcoming committee for our new ferret guests! Snow came to us at about 4 years old and often ignores the chaos, preferring to explore the room on her own. Cookie is rambunctious with the boys. We are happy to have such a fun group at the Sanctuary and look forward to seeing what’s next for Cookie and Snow!
