Background Story:
Meet the newly-arrived ZZ Ferret band! At age 4, the Z girls are solidly in middle age – but like great bands everywhere, they are always ready to rock!
Adoption Info:
This sweet-natured pair of bonded girls includes Zoe, a gorgeous dark sable girl and Zyla, an affectionate light sable/sandy. Their expressive eyes light up when you approach, and close in bliss as they enjoy a nice cuddle before zipping off to dance and play. Their favorite pastimes include scampering through tunnels and jumping in boxes full of crinkly shipping-type paper. Zoe gets a little overexcited by squeak toys, so we don't use those with her. Ferret-appropriate toys that include jingles and rattles are fine. We don't know if the ZZ kids get along with dogs or cats, but they do get along just fine with other ferrets at the shelter. Both ferrets have been fully vetted and are in good health, except Zoe has a common endocrine/adrenal disorder that requires a hormonal implant (done by a veterinarian) every 12-18 months. She last received this implant in March of 2026, just after arriving at our Sanctuary. Ferrets with this medication typically live a normal lifespan. The ZZ girls are also vaccinated and microchipped and are eager to be welcomed into your loving home! To learn more, please contact Our Companions at 860-242-9999 or email [email protected]!
