Background Story:
Rosie is a beautiful brindle pitty/Plott hound mix that is already charming our staff and making new friends at the Sanctuary! Her previous guardians made the difficult decision to re-home Rosie before welcoming their first human baby into the home. Rosie was well loved and cared for – she went to doggy daycare, completed training classes, and was given consistent routines in the home but her high energy and possible prey drive showed behaviors that might not be conducive to adding a baby to the home. Rosie also was never sure if the cat in the home was friend or foe… hence the family reached out to us to help them find a better home environment for Rosie.
We had a recent adoption and was able to add Rosie to our Sanctuary family in order to get to know her, her personality, her preferences, and get a grasp on her behaviors. We are excited to get to know her, to introduce her to our other dog-social guests, and get her all ready for her next home!
Adoption Info:
Just like a flower, Rosie is a blossoming beauty! This six year old sweetheart loves adventures and spending time with her humans. The key to Rosie’s heart is butt rubs and outdoor hikes! She can be quite charming, especially when she cuddles up next to you on the couch! Rosie would appreciate an active lifestyle and wouldn’t mind sharing her home with another doggy friend, though she requests no cats in her new home please! This Plott hound mix is also a smart cookie too! She knows many fun skills, and walks exceptionally well on leash! She loves to master new tricks and is excited to learn more with her new family! Rosie is also crate trained, 45lbs, and would appreciate a home with pre-teens and older. If you’re seeking a fun-loving companion, you need Rosie in your life!
