Background Story:
Prior to her arrival, Patches lived in a home with her only owner her whole life. She was eventually diagnosed with diabetes and unfortunately, her elderly owner was unable to care for her and made the difficult decision to rehome her. Her vet, hoping that we could offer a space at our Sanctuary, contacted us. It was challenging to find open space, but thanks to our amazing staff, we were able to welcome Patches in September of 2024 at the age of 12. Within her first week of care with us, her blood glucose and ketones are in an acceptable range! She will be receiving regular checks at the vet every two weeks for the next three months to monitor her health and treatment. She’s now in remission with her diabetes and is ready to find a home of her own!

Personable Patches is kitty perfection! She’s super sweet, friendly and absolutely loves to be around her people. This gentle 12 year old calico loves pets, attention and so affectionate! She enjoys her playtime too, she keeps herself busy with her solo toys and can’t resist pouncing on a wand toy moving under a blanket. Patches is doing so well, she's even in remission for her diabetes! She would love to be your one and only fur family member in a fairly calm home.
