Duck
It’s hard to believe the luck, but a good citizen found two pet Syrian hamsters abandoned in a bin in the woods. She took them in and separated them right away, but they must have lived together in their previous home because a few weeks later the family discovered the female had given birth! Thankfully, she was rescued just in time to have her babies in a safe, warm home. The heroic family already planned to keep mom and dad (in separate habitats of course) and found homes for some of the babies. When they were having a hard time placing the remaining babies, they reached out to us for help. We now have five adorable critters, named Pigeon, Moose, Flamingo, Duck and Frog! No ‘bins in the woods’ for these guys – their next stop is a home of their own!
Duck is one of 5 baby hamsters available for adoption. Duck and his siblings were born at the end of March 2025. Old enough to live separately now, they each seem to be loving their new habitats – burrowing to their hearts content. Duck is a male Syrian hamster with the classic “yellow-black” fur color.
