Background Story:

When Mila and Chloe’s pet guardian needed to move to an assisted living facility that did not accept pets. Her local animal control was able to help temporarily, but their facility really is not set up to house cats. Luckily, we had space at our Sanctuary to be able to welcome the two gorgeous gals.

They are about 5 years old. Mila is a brown tabby. She has been more “confident” from the start and loves to get pets! Chloe is a dark dilute calico who now welcomes us at the door of her room with the cutest little meows and rubs! Initially shy, she has really started to warm up to everyone!

As they continued to settle into the Sanctuary, we noticed more hissing and swatting towards one another. They were not ‘snuggly’ with each other or present a lot of bonding behaviors, leading us to believe they may have coexisted alright in a full house, but being in a room together was not ideal. Before anything got too intense, we separated Mila and Chloe so they had their own special rooms. Mila has been cautiously exploring more of the downstairs living room with Violet, but is also coming out of her shell more in her own bedroom suite. Chloe has continued to show she prefers the single life away from other cats. We are happy to continue the journey to get to know both Mila and Chloe on their own, and help them in getting adopted too.

Adoption Info:

Playful and very affectionate 5-year-old brown tabby Mila loves being a part of the action but also appreciates a gentle pace when things feel new. Sweet Mila is in search of her furever home after her pet guardian moved to an assisted-living facility that unfortunately couldn’t accept pets. Mila’s cute personality is impossible to ignore! She loves being pet and will always ask for more. She also loves engaging in active play with any type of solo toys, catnip toys, cardboard scratchers and active chasing under blankets. This sweet girl would thrive in a home with moderate activity and adults, or families with older children who can give her space to warm up and then enjoy her affectionate and playful personality. If you’re looking for a loving and social companion who balances tenderness with lively play, Mila may be the perfect addition to your home.
