Ollie has a mini history with us, and we can’t want to assist in his next chapter too!
Ollie was originally rescued out of state and nursed back to health by his foster parent. She saved him from a worse fate, but her need to travel for work was not the best fit for Ollie’s needs. Ollie started to exhibit some challenges given his difficult past, but with our support, his foster did wonderful work helping Ollie get to a great place. At this time, Ollie was able to be a part of our Re-homing Program while we continued training and behavior support.
While in our Rehoming Program, Ollie found an adopter that worked for months building a relationship with Ollie and transitioning him to her home. However, despite his adopter’s best efforts over the last year, the neighborhood was too difficult for him to thrive.
We’ve been by Ollie’s side since we were first contacted, and now at 6 years old, we plan to be right by Ollie with his welcome to the Sanctuary. We know there’s a lot of work ahead, but we’re so thankful to have Ollie in our care and give him the continued support he needs to navigate the world! Already we have been able to build off his original training and see glimmers of a calm, loving, and wonderful dog that we know! He’s already having lots of fun with us and stealing hearts everywhere he goes with that gorgeous smile! We look forward to continuing his journey to succeed and find the right home life for him – furever!
