The Magic of Cats
Bringing communities together through art and the love of animals, especially our feline friends. The Magic of Cats art show will include an online auction to benefit Our Companions Animal Rescue!
Four amazingly talented artists found a perfect way to connect those who love cats, people that are encouraged to help animals in need, and those who love art, with their upcoming gallery event, The Magic of Cats. Combining their passion for the arts and the love of their furry companions, artists Kathy Anderson, Susan Lyon, Nancy Guzik and Jen Starling are presenting a cat-centered art show!
Finding a way to bring together art, animals, and a community of people who deeply care about both, The Magic of Cats will start with an online auction of cat centered paintings by each artist. The gallery event will take place at the Salmagundi Club in Manhattan from November 2nd – November 7th with a special reception on November 5th (6PM-8PM). The gallery is open to the public all week.
What is even more magical?! Each artist has contributed an artwork to be auctioned for the benefit of Our Companions Animal Rescue and 100% of the proceeds will go to Our Companions! As a safe space for healing many different animals, our Sanctuary has three dedicated cat cottages, a Cat Rehoming Program through our Valerie Friedman Program Center, and programs to help Community Cats with Trap-Neuter-Return projects and financial assistance for vetting. We are truly appreciative to be featured with the artists, and for their giving back to the community and all the different types of cats within our caring programs.
Local artist and supporter, Kathy Anderson made a special visit to the Sanctuary to meet some of our cat guests and painted one of them for the show and auction…
