Background Story:

Scout was initially found as a stray by local Animal Control and was in need of emergency veterinary  treatment when they found him- his ears were infected, and he had a wound on the side of his face that also needed medical care. After treatment, he was welcomed to our Sanctuary for continuous medical care and training. Scout’s exact age is unknown, at first he was thought to be over 10 years old, and his name at the shelter was “Old Man”.

Now as he’s been with us, he’s looking to be younger, and estimated to be probably around 7 or 8 years old. Due to continuous ear infections, potentially from the healed wound on his face, Scout underwent surgery to completely remove the ear canal of his right ear. Now that he is healed from surgery and no longer experiencing chronic ear infections, Scout is ready to find a home and a family of his very own!

Adoption Info:

Scout is scoping out his next home! This 7 year old fun-loving, sweet boy is ready to find his person that will love and cherish him! In return, Scout will give you lots of kisses and wonderful companionship! He has had quite a transformation over the last two years to becoming the healthy, happy boy that he is today. He hopes to continue his journey in a home where he can thrive alongside his person! Scout would appreciate an adult/older teen home as your one and only furbaby. A fenced-in yard would be great for Scout, however it is not required if he receives plenty of exercise and enrichment in his next home. He would also enjoy continued training to bond and learn new skills with his family- which we can provide! Scout is friendly, handsome, and charming- and will certainly bring the excitement wherever he goes!
