Rosie is a 16 year old calico who was in our rehoming program. She has been in one home her entire life and is very shy and reserved. With the owner moving to Florida, she can no longer care for her. She has advanced kidney disease and was boarded shortly at the Happy Cat Hotel until coming to the Sanctuary in October of 2022.
Rosie is settling in at the Sanctuary better than we thought she would! With us knowing she was a very shy/reserved cat we assumed she would need plenty of time to readjust. As we are still giving her space, she will come out at meal times and eat next to humans. She is doing some head butting and rubbing against legs, but we are still giving her a little more time before petting. She is very sweet and we are hoping to be able to cuddle her soon!
Rosie is looking to be the queen of the castle in a quiet home full of love! Don’t think being 16 has slowed Rosie down- she still likes to play with toys and will occasionally play fetch! Rosie loves lounging around next to you on the couch and wishes to be your one and only pet to receive all the attention! Rosie is a beautiful, smart, and playful calico that is seeking a compassionate person to enjoy her golden years!
