Faced with no longer being able to maintain a stable home, Matilda’s owner surrendered her to animal control. Frightened and shy she found it difficult to show her true colors and had a difficult time trying to bond with her visitors in the four months she remained there. Joining the sanctuary in late October, she was given a quiet place of her own. Soon she found the courage to emerge from her safe sleeping area to greet and shower her visitors with affection. Loving pets and attention she’ll often now snuggle up next to someone on her couch. Growing more comfortable with each passing day she now loves to spend sunny days lounging on the back of her couch.
