Background Story:

We are madly in love with our adoptable mice!

With the opening of Suzanne’s Place, our first Small Animal Cottage, we have been able to provide safe spaces for male mice in need of rescue, re-homing, medical care, and adoption!

The First Litter: DOB November 19, 2024

Our Companions was contacted by another rescue that was handling a hoarding situation with 400 mice in need of safe placement. Organizations across states rallied to come together for the sheer size of space needed. As they separated the males from the females, we were asked to take in 9 females, and we were well aware they might be already pregnant. Our team separated 3 of the 9 females we suspected were pregnant and just a few day later, we had three litters of baby mice! Since then, the mice moms had successful births to many little darling mice. We were quickly able to separate the boys and girls after they could safely live away from mom.

We wondered if we could bond the male mice since they were born together, but as they matured they started to fight. The males live in single habitats, but they seem to enjoy the bachelor life! They are a bit larger and rounder than the females. They are curious and interactive when you open their habitat and would love to take a treat from your hand. Most of the boys are shades of brown, with one brother, Blaze, sporting a white and grey coat. All that’s left is to find a family of their own!

LOTR Rescues! DOB: November 25, 2025

Our Companions was contacted by someone who was a bit overwhelmed with the multiple pets in the home, including multiple mice. A bonded pair was taken by a Nature Center and we were able to take three other male mice. Upon a vet visit, we realized we did not have three males but two boys and one female! The female was pregnant and we soon had even more babies on our hands!

Adoption Info:

Interactive, entertaining, and adorable – we are madly in love with these adoptable little mice! Many of our female mice are already bonded and live together harmoniously. Females can bond with other female mice or be adopted out together. Our male mice have their own bachelor pads as they can be territorial. Some of the mice available for adoption were even born at our Sanctuary! They are so cute and fun to watch; there’s always someone on the exercise wheel and a couple at the food dish, a few snuggled in bedding, and another chewing a toy…. 24/7 fun! They have a variety of muted and neutral colors, they love to explore their habitat, and don’t mind taking treats from our hands! These mice are great pets for people of all ages.
