Friendly Jack was clearly not a Community Cat when he was found abandoned outside. Jack was rescued by a kind citizen who was open to keeping him as an indoor cat. Unfortunately, her resident cat was not as excited about Jack living in the home, prompting the pet guardian to reach out to us for help finding the right home for him. Jack started in our Re-homing Program as we searched for a forever home. *We do not have any sort of “wait list” for the Sanctuary since we work with crisis cases and triage space, but all of our Re-homing cases are on our radar when a space becomes available.

Since we Jack was not adopted while in our Re-homing Program and the senior cat in the home was not doing well with him, we were able to offer Jack a space at our Sanctuary. We will let him decompress at his pace and allow him to fully settle in before revisiting adoption. For now, Jack is getting used to his new room, routines, and friendly faces of Sanctuary staff. We look forward to getting to know the fun, expressive, and affectionate Jack as he comes out of his shell.
