This Gizmo can snack after midnight and stay as CUTE as can be!
Gizmo is a darling dark grey Chinchilla who loves chin scratches and gentle pets. He was surrendered to the Sanctuary in the summer of 2026 at 3-years-old. He was well loved and socialized with in his first home, but his pet guardian was going to college and unable to take him with her. Since Chinchillas can live up to 20 years as a pet companion, we were happy to offer Gizmo a spot at our Sanctuary until a new forever home is found.
We are giving him space to settle in and get used to all the new sights, sounds, and smells, but he has been so affectionate and friendly with staff and volunteers so far. We doubt he will be with us for too long, but we are enjoying getting to know him all the same! Welcome to the family, Gizmo!

Gizmo is our newest and sweetest chinchilla looking for his own family to provide unlimited chin scratches! Gizmo is a male, approximately 3 years old, who came to us in May due to his college mom moving and unable to bring him with them. He is very social, loves people and will thrive in a home that has the time to give him extra time, love and pets.
