Feral Cat Food Drive

Petcare’s Feral Cat Food Drive has been EXTENDED! Donate unopened dry and canned cat food now through March 31st at their office at 64 Raymond Road in West Hartford. Having full bellies helps the outdoor kitties stay warm and safe, which is especially important during these cold winter months.

What is a feral cat? Also known as community cats, they are cats that have reverted in some degree to a wild state. They originate from abandoned domestic cats. In most cases, feral cats are not completely wild because they still depend on people for their food source. All the food collected from the food drive will be distributed to their committed human caretakers!

Why do they have a clipped ear? This indicates that have been humanely trapped, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. These cats are released back to the place they came from to ensure they are familiar with the surroundings and can find their source of food!
