Sweet Tabby has been looking for her forever home for so long – she came to us 5 years ago, and is still waiting for her special person. Tabby’s story began at the Humane Society, where she was adopted from at 2 years old. Poor Tabby lived the next 8 years scared and hiding from the other pets in the home. She is a sensitive soul, and often felt threatened in that home environment. At times, she just couldn’t handle the stress and would lash out with teeth and claws. When her person left home to go to college, her family decided it would be in Tabby’s best interest to find her a home more suited for her needs.
That’s when she came to us, in July 2014. Staff and volunteers have worked with her extensively, following behavioral therapies and improving her quality of life. Having her own quiet space and patient people working with her has made a world of difference. She thrives on routine and has come a long way in her 5 years with us.
Are you ready to open your heart to this beautiful 13-year-old? Tabby has so much love to share, and hopes to show you what a wonderful companion she is. A simple, quiet life would suit her perfectly. She enjoys interactive play, being brushed, and being with her people day and night. She does need to be a single lady (with no other pets in the home), but that doesn’t mean she’s lacking! You’ll be her whole world.
