Tabby Found Her Person!

Guess who has some good news to share?? Okay, not good…INCREDIBLE! Tabby has found her forever home!! For the past few months, we’ve been working extra hard to find this lovely lady a home to call her very own. Her best friends at the Sanctuary wrote her letters, and shared with the world how wonderful she is. To all of you who shared stories, photos, and your time to help Tabby become the sweetheart she is today – we want to send you a heartfelt thank you.

All of our efforts finally paid off when Tabby’s story caught the eye of someone who had adopted from us before, many years ago when the sanctuary first opened! Back then, she opened her heart to a cat who had a history of behavior issues, and wanted to be sure she wasn’t overlooked by adopters forever. That lucky kitty has since passed, and after some time Tabby’s mom was ready to adopt again. She read about Tabby in the Our Companions newsletter. After reading Tabby’s story, and all of the lovely letters Tabby’s people had written her, her decision was clear – she wanted to take Tabby home.

We are over the moon that after 5 years of waiting, Tabby has found her forever person. We were a bit nervous about the transition – it can take cats a while to get acclimated to new places, especially sensitive gals like our Tabby. But she acclimated beautifully! She was out and about exploring her new digs right away. Her new mom is absolutely in love, and tells us that Tabby (now Abby) is snuggly, playful, and loves to sleep on the bed right next to the pillows. Abby even has her own blog!
