Helpline Volunteer

Volunteers for the Our Companions Animal Helpline respond to thousands of calls from the public a year and give advice on animal-related issues.

The Helpline Cat Placement Counselor must be comfortable speaking to clients and coaching through challenging situations, be well-versed in our various programs and able to offer positive solutions.  Daily computer access is required. Minimum time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.  An orientation and training program is required for this opportunity

The Small Animal Assistance Volunteer must be comfortable speaking to clients and coaching through challenging situations, be well-versed in our various programs and able to offer positive solutions.  Daily computer access is required. Minimum time commitment is approximately 3 hours per week.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.  An orientation and training program is required for this opportunity.  

The Administrative Data Entry Support Volunteer (currently full) must be comfortable learning new database software applications, working independently and with attention to detail.  Weekly computer access is required. Minimum time commitment is approximately 3 hours per week.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate.  An orientation and training program is required for this opportunity.
