Behavior Internship Program

We are seeking motivated and compassionate individuals interested in pursuing a career in animal behavior and humane dog training.

The Our Companions Behavior Internship is an educational and hands-on program aimed to give you the necessary skills to become a professional dog trainer and/or behavior consultant in both private and non-profit settings. Due to the nature of our Sanctuary, this program covers a multitude of topics including dog training ethics, animal welfare/husbandry, learning theory, and complex behavioral modification. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of behaviors including fear, reactivity, overarousal, separation anxiety, and more.

Learn from certified, professional dog trainers and behavior consultants with a combined 50+ years of experience and a variety of unique backgrounds, certifications, and more.
