Background Story:
Dewey arrived to our Sanctuary after his owner was sadly evicted and both Dewey and the owner were forced to live in their car. The owner made the difficult decision to surrender Dewey in hopes of a more stable place to live. Dewey was hiding underneath the backseat of the car and it was a fairly traumatic experience getting him in the carrier. He’s estimated to be 2 years old at the time of his arrival and he’ll certainly need lots of time to decompress and get comfortable with his new surroundings and friends at the Sanctuary.
Current Status:
Dewey has flourished with us in such a short time! He has an adorable personality that loves play time, but also loves being affectionate once he warms up to you!

This little Dew drop is ready for a fresh new start! Dewey is an adorable 2 year old looking to find a best friend! He’s sweet, gentle, and such a handsome boy! He can be initially shy when meeting someone new, but once he warms up to you, he is so affectionate with his friends! Given his shy side, a quiet, calm home would be great for this guy. Dewey’s young, fun-loving personality will shine once it’s playtime! He would enjoy plenty of playtime with his new family!
