Background Story:

Cosmo was living with a gentleman who unfortunately passed away, his family was able to keep him until there was room at the sanctuary. Cosmo is a beefcake – he’s an all black male with a powerful meow. But don’t let his size and volume fool you – he’s a very sweet boy who runs for cover when he hears thunder! For 11 years old with FIV+, he’s surprisingly active – he loves to pounce at ribbon toys and catch soft toys you throw to him. His first line of defense is his chompers – he’s much more likely to nip than to swat when overstimulated, but his manners improve greatly when he gets lots of playtime to burn his energy. This playful hunk loves to cuddle too, purring loudly while he walks across your lap and gives you a headbutt that you won’t forget.

Current Status:

Welcome to Jane’s Place, Cosmo! He moved over to the bigger house once we had more room and he has been loving the increased attention, spending lots of time cuddling with volunteers, playing with his toys, and enjoying the view out on his catio.

Adoption Info:

Cosmo wants to come play! If you’re looking for an active, fun-loving companion, Cosmo may be the boy for you. He loves company, playing with his interactive toys, and anything filled with catnip! When he’s all tired out, he’ll end his day snuggled up with you on the couch. He’s hoping to find a quiet family to call his very own. Cosmo also requests that he’s the only kitty in his new home. Cosmo is FIV+, but can still live a long, healthy, and happy life! To learn more, please email Michelle@OurCompanions.org or call 860-242-9999 x302.
