Background Story:

Cleo had been living with her sister Chloe in a home until their elderly owner was no longer able to care for them and needed to enter assisted living. Other family members were unable to accommodate the two sisters and they were surrendered to animal control. After a few weeks at the animal control shelter they joined the Sanctuary.

Current Status:

Always ready at her door to greet visitors Chloe continues to be her happy sweet affectionate self. No new year’s resolutions for this girl- she is perfect just the way she is! Her recent oncology consult went well. Tests did not see any spread of her cancer so no further treatment was recommended for her. If it returns, it will likely regrow in the same area so for now we’ll just be keeping a watchful eye out for that.

Adoption Info:

If you’re looking for a low-key cat, then Cleo is the girl for you! Cleo is a gentle, easygoing 13 year old sweetheart. She can be shy at first, but recovers quickly and can never resist a warm lap to relax on! She’s loves spending time lounging on her window perch or hanging out on her cat tree, looking over her domain! This sweetie does have a couple special medical needs, but has proved she’s a survivor and would make a lovely companion to any person with a kind heart! Cleo would prefer to be the only cat in her kingdom, but might be fine with a low-energy dog. Cleo would also appreciate a home with no young children and a quiet lifestyle that matches her mellow personality. If you think this laid-back love bug is the girl for you, please contact Heather at Heather@OurCompanions.org or call 860-242-9999.
