Chai

After a move, a pet guardian’s Home Owners Association (HOA) was threatening to evict her because she had two pet rabbits. She reached out to us to help reh-ome the two bunnies if her HOA would allow her to continue their care while in our program. During that time, unfortunately one of the brother bunnies passed away leaving one Holland Lop named Chai.

After a few rabbits from our Sanctuary were adopted, we were able to offer Chai a room before starting his adoption journey. Cute and charming, Chai came to us at around 2.5 years old in January 2026. When he first arrived, he wasn’t too keen on eating his Timothy Hay and that should really be most of a rabbit’s diet. He hasn’t turned down treats! But his appetite for hay is improving a bit each day. He loves to hop up on his hide-away crate or up in his window bed. We look forward to helping Chai feel happy and healthy during his time with us and hopefully find him a fur-ever home real soon!
