Callum was rescued from an auction sale and eventually made his way to our Sanctuary in the summer of 2026. Estimated to be around a year old, Callum was very nervous and frightened, especially at the vet, but is starting to settle in at the Sanctuary. To give him some quiet space, we set up his habitat in the central Education Room in Suzanne’s Place.
He was calm and curious as we held meetings in his area, often coming up to his fence for some affection. He would be a bit more nervous while we were in his space so we took it slow so he can learn we see him as a friend, not food. Now, he is really showing off his affectionate side! He loves pets and already enjoys the company of his new friends!
