Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup

A family adopted a female guinea pig with quite a surprise… she was pregnant! Their pet guinea pig gave birth to five darling babies. The pet guardian separated the males and females when appropriate, and reached out to Our Companions to help with adoption once they were safely weaned off mom. The family found a home for the two boys and we were able to take in the three girls to our Animal Sanctuary.

Born in February 2025, these cuties are certainly filled with everything nice! Say hello to our Powerpuff Piggies: Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup! Blossom is a chocolate guinea pig and appears to be the leader of the trio; she’s social, lovable, and has the cutest little black nose. Buttercup loves to burrow a little napping nest in her hay piles while Bubbles is the biggest snuggle bug of the group! Buttercup is a silver agouti guinea pig and sister, Bubbles, is chocolate agouti. Guinea pigs are characterized by their coat color and pattern, and “agouti” means each individual hair is two-toned which visually creates more of a ticking pattern than their all chocolate sister’s coat. They live harmoniously together in a single habitat. They are still settling in and gaining confidence, and we cannot wait to continue to get to know them and their personalities!
