You’ve heard of “crack babies”, but have you ever heard of “crack kittens”? Missy and Peto, originally known as Cotton Candy and Comet, were rescued a couple of summers ago from a really bad situation in a crack house in Hartford, CT.
From two separate mothers, these two kittens were the only ones to survive a horrible upper-respiratory infection that was running rampant in the “establishment”. Our Companions was called-in to assist when the myriad of kittens in the house started dying; two momma cats and two of their babies were rescued and brought to a safe home where they were medically treated and emotionally nurtured.
Missy and Peto are now together in their forever home where their new owner reports: “I love them to death thank you for choosing me to be their mom”. Missy is a nosey little girl who gets into everything and Peto loves his momma following her everywhere she goes and never leaving her side.
